[A warm smile steals over Nikolai's face when Konoha employs his native tongue. That dinner had had a bumpy beginning, but through it he gained a better understanding of Konoha. Despite his aversion to being bad at anything, he can admit it's a little bit funny to look back on now. The King of Ravka and the Sun Summoner nearly undone by hosting a dinner for a friend...

He shifts in his seat, trying to get comfortable, adjusting himself. His tail keeps bumping against the chair legs... It likely doesn't help Konoha's dilemma that his scent is stronger under the influence of the amethyst's transformation, his hormones more active, as if a fire has been lit underneath his skin.

Nikolai has sampled the pheasant and potatoes and is giving the rice a try when Konoha takes her phone out. He finishes chewing before leaning forward.]

Let me see... [He peers at the photo.] It may just be. That's one awfully handsome blur. I do vaguely recall spending time in Liem's company.

[He laughs then, recalling another detail he discovered the next morning while sorting through the abundant evidence on his phone.]
